About the Klondyke Steam Party

Right on the northern edge of England's National Forest and located between Uttoxeter to the west and Burton Upon Trent to the east, the delightful little village of Draycott in the Clay plays host to North Staffordshire’s annual Agricultural and Horticultural Show.

Classic vehicle enthusiasts also look forward to the event, for the trip to the Klondyke Mill and the annual Klondyke Steam Party. Visitors gather from all around to snag a glimpse of collections of rare vintage traction engines, road rollers, and steam engines.

Some of these engines date back to the 1880s, and are on display along with other exhibitions of old machinery. Other popular attractions include classic cars, miniature engines for youngsters to ride, and a variety of stalls for guests to browse away the hours. All this plus stands for procuring refreshments both hot and cold.

North Staffs and Cheshire Traction Engine Club

Organised by The North Staffs and Cheshire Traction Engine Club, the Klondyke Steam Party is one of two such events put together by the society each year. Dedicated to the preservation of all things vintage, the club is always looking for enthusiasts to join the club. The club welcomes anyone with interest in classic steam or traction engines.

Entry To The Event

Tickets to the Klondyke Steam Party are £5.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. The fun usually kicks off each day around 9.00am and goes on until 3-ish.
