About the Shrewsbury Steam Rally
You don’t need to hit 88 miles per hour to get a blast from the past! In fact, all you need to do is grab the kids and head on down to the Shrewsbury Steam Rally. This terrific event hosted every year brings together friends, family, and most importantly, steam enthusiasts.
Annually the event pays tribute to some of the most exquisite craftsmanship in engineering that still exists today. You’ll get to experience the creation of everything from the old horse and cart to steam engines to vintage cars and much more!
If you’re thinking this is just a day filled with steam engines, you’re wrong. There’s a little something in the rally for everybody! They have everything from various attractions, shows, music to arts and crafts. Every year, the rally is jam-packed with events from your little ones to your old ones. There are endless activities with over 1000 exhibits!
Shrewsbury Steam Rally
The Shrewsbury Steam Rally since its inception has been organised by the Country of Salop Steam Engine Society LTD. A great non-for-profit organisation with the ambition of preserving these innovations for many years to come.
Entry To The Rally
The event is typically open from 9am with free parking if you are travelling by car. Ticket prices are usually in the range of Adult - £14, Senior Citizen - £13, Child - £1. KIDS UNDER 5 GET TO GO FREE! Make sure to check out the early bird tickets to avail of discounts before they’re all sold out!

Also, there will be the option to camp and gaze up at the night sky in soft fields of Onslow Park. If camping isn’t your thing, make sure to check out Wigmore Lakes, the finest B&B around the area. Also, it’s about a 10-minute drive from the rally.
Getting To Onslow Park
The site is easily accessible if you follow the A458 road and take a right just before the Churncote Farm shop. It will be just there on the right. If you do have trouble finding it merely key in the postcode SY3 5EE to Google maps and it should take you right to it.
