About the Midlands Garden Rail Show
Southeast of Birmingham, along the River Avon, in the rural and lush countryside of Warwickshire, is the country town of Warwick. The Warwickshire Events Centre will host the Midlands Garden Rail Show for larger-scale model trains.
This unique 2-day show offers visitors the opportunity to see custom, meticulously crafted large gauge models train sets and meet with the creators.
The show will present an impressive selection of model train sets in Gauge 1, O Gauge, and G Scale. Scheduled for display are many brand-new designs and the return of many previous favourites. The designs have been hand-crafted by model train artisans that will be on hand to answer questions regarding the design-and-build process, as well as share their personal experiences dealing with their project.
The show is presented by Meridienne Exhibitions Ltd., the leader in events for modellers, hobbyists, and those with even interest in all things scale.
Entry To The Event
The show opens Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. The last admission is 1-hour before closing. Available for visitors will be 35 specialised vendors to help visitors select the right set to begin or grow their own model railroad.
Somewhere to Stay in Warwickshire
There are many places to stay in the surrounding area. In the Warwick, area are many hotels, B&Bs and Inns, and camping and caravan parks. A coffee shop and restaurant are available at the event centre and many more only a short drive away in town. The White Lion on Southam Road and Windmill Hill Brewing Company, both in Radford Semele, are well-reviewed.
Getting To Warwickshire Event Centre
Free parking is available for 2,000 cars with capacity for coaches. For blue cardholders, parking is at the front of the car park. Visitor parking can only be accessed from the Southam Road entrance on the A425. No visitor access is available on Fosse Way. Follow the signs to visitor parking. An ATM is available onsite.
Other Things To Do Around Nr Leamington Spa
Warwick lays claim as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. While in town, visit Warwick Castle. Originally a mere wooden fort, William the Conqueror built it up into a wooden castle in 1068 C.E. Nearby in Leamington Spa along the River Avon is the Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum situated between the Jephson Gardens and Royal Pump Room Gardens, for additional relaxing indoor or outdoor activities.
