Usk Rural Life Museum

Malt Barn shows ‘The Farming Year’ & ‘The Labourer’s Life’, Transport Barn: wagons, carts, tractors, model railway, machinery & implements shed, woodland crafts barn, blacksmith, cobbler, saddler and wheelwright’s workshop, dairy, laundry & kitchen. Housed in an ancient malt barn with adjacent buildings, the museum has 5000+ exhibits collected by local enthusiasts over the past 50 years in order to preserve the heritage of the life and work of country people in the Welsh Borders from Victorian times and onwards, from the smallest handtools and household items through to large agricutural machinery and vintage tractors.


Opening Times : Mar-Oct Tue-Sat 1030-1630. Sun & BHol 1100-1500.
